April 2009:  Red Square Pools Blog was launched as my pool maintenance business blog.  As a trade professional we get access to information that is not normally released to the public.  The unfortunate problem is homeowners like “Joe Pool Dude” and “Sally Spa Gidget” never hear about this information unless their tripping over it in a Google Search or there pool service professional chooses to share the intel.

The real disconnect is service professionals don’t always get the time to share this information simply because they don’t have the opportunity to converse with the homeowner.  This blog was created to open the kimono and describe the who, what, when and how to pool and spa owners.

If we can remove some of the smoke and mirrors in the industry …well then, we’ve accomplished what we originally set out to do.

October 2015:  Red Square Pools Blog gets a haircut!  After reviewing the articles and feedback over the last 6 years “the people have spoken” and the TOP 5 articles for 2015 are as follows:Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 8.50.09 PM

#1.  How Much Salt Should I Add To My Pool

#2.  Aqua Rite (GoldLine) Operating Manual

#3.  Industry Secret: How to Calibrate Your Pentair IntelliChlor

#4.  Home page / Archives

#5.  Determine if your pool is losing water due to evaporation or a leak.

After discovering that the top 3 articles netted 63% of our readers interest it seems like a good idea to focus our discussions on salt water pools and spas.   Taking it one step further, we wanted to give our readers an option to purchase Chlorinator Systems so we added a SHOP section.

My desire has always been to grow beyond our back yard of Las Vegas, so we’re focused on extending our reach to the lower 48 Continental US.  For those readers outside the US,  our shortlist for servicing International customers is in the works, with Canada and Australia next on the list.

My only caveat is in some cases, it is highly recommended to solicit trained swimming pool repair professionals as errors can be costly.  The information and materials contained in this web site are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, any warranty of accuracy, adequacy or completeness of the information and materials, title, non-infringement of third party rights, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from computer virus.

Vaughn is one helluva guy. I live in Sydney, Australia and whilst trawling the net I came across Red Square Pools. I had some problems with my pool so I shoot off an email to Vaughn and lo and behold the very next day his reply is in my inbox…full of suggestions and advice.
    Honestly Buddy… you’re one in a million.
